June author of the month.

June's author of the month is Eric Carle

Most famous for writing and illustrating  ' The Hungry Caterpillar ', Eric Carle has written over seventy books and won many awards. His family originated from Germany and although he was born in New York, they all returned to Germany when he became six years old.
As an adult, Carle travelle back to the United States where he became a graphic designer and later an advertising art director. It was this that led him to his first book experience, collaborating with Bill Martin Jnr to illustrate, ' Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See ? ' 
In addition to writing and illustrating, he has designed children's games, puzzles, soft toys and fabric ! As well as a Spring logo for the search engine, Google in 2009.
