Year 3 have been extremely busy and braving the change in weather to complete their outdoor learning day last week.
We had lots of fun exploring different ways in which we can measure rocks that we have been investigating in our science lessons, in both centimeters and metres. We had word challenges to complete in groups using the skills that we had learnt previously.
We linked our learning to our geography work and followed maps using directions and turns. We also focused on human and physical features surrounding our school area and follow
During the day we put our orienteering skills to the test and had to work hard as a team (with the added pressure of socially distancing!) to make funny faces using little equipment and a lot of teamwork.
The children had a really enjoyable day and are already looking forward to the next one!
