Year 2 Africa

As our time in Year 2 comes to an end we have been incredibly busy! The children have enjoyed learning all about the African Savannah, and the animals that live there. Who knew that palm trees grew there?! We have continued to learn about fractions in maths by working out halves, quarters and thirds. We have conducted an experiment in science to see whether a plant can survive with water in a cold environment.

The children have had lots of fun during PE too, where we have been practising our cricket skills. We may well have some future England cricket stars – watch this space!

The last few weeks of this term we have been focussing on our Year 2 production. The children have all worked so hard to learn their lines, and have really enjoyed being able to sing again. We couldn’t be prouder of them. They will all be ready to have a well earned break this summer, before moving on to Year 3.
